Japanese Friendship Tour

Girls, adults, and home hospitality applications are now being accepted for the Japanese Friendship Tour! The Japanese Friendship Tour is a rotating program between Girl Scouts in Japan and GSAK where girls can either travel to Japan, or travel around Alaska with Japanese visitors. This year, Japanese Girl Scouts will be joining us in Alaska, and we’re looking for 8-10 Girl Scouts (Cadettes, Seniors, or Ambassadors) and two chaperones to participate in Alaskan adventures with our guests. During the visit, girls will experience a variety of excursions as they explore the Last Frontier with Alaska’s Girl Scouts.

 August 1-12, 2017

Cost for GSAK Girls:
$500 per girl – Covers daily outings (August 1-6) and the cost of Camp Togowoods week. Cost includes half-day river rafting trip. *Destination credits can be used.
Tentative Excursions: 

  • Anchorage Museum + Alaska experience
  • Alaska Native Heritage Center
  • Flat Top Hike
  • Zoo (will include a special animal encounter)
  • Service Learning Project
  • Attend Camp Togowoods

Host Families Needed for Japanese Exchange:
