February 6
Women of Science & Technology Day, Anchorage
Grades: K-12
When: Saturday, February 6
–K-3: 9:40 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 
–K-12 Brown Bag Bonus Session: noon-1 p.m. (bring your own lunch)
–4-12: 12:40 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Location: UAA, Anchorage
Event description: Join women professionals working in STEM careers for a day of workshops and fun. *Sign up for the Brown Bag Bonus Session where girls will  participate in a live video activity with NASA Education Outreach Coordinator, Sarah McCrea!* This event is open to ALL girls, regardless of Girl Scout membership. 
Cost: $9/girl, $0/adult
Brown Bag Bonus Session: Additional $5/girl, $0/adult
Note: Remember to bring your lunch to the Brown Bag Bonus Session. 
To register: Troops: complete and return the Event Registration Form with payment. Non-members, complete and return this form.

February 11
Out of This World – Pluto & the Dwarf Planets, Anchorage 
Grades: K-12

When: 5-6 p.m. Thursday,  February 11
Location: UAA Planetarium & Visualization Theater, Anchorage
Event description: Take a glimpse at the wee class of Dwarf Planets in this special GSAK planetarium show. 
Cost: $8/girl, $7/adult 
Note: Space is limited – maximum of 60 participants, including adults.

March 5
Out of This World – Alaska Experience, Anchorage
Grades: K-12
When: 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 5
Location: UAA Planetarium & Visualization Theater, Anchorage 
Event description: Join us for a special double feature at the UAA Planetarium & Visualization Theater. Experience the northern lights in the full dome show Above Alaska, and get up close and personal with the bears of McNeil River State Game Sanctuary in River of Bears.
Cost: $8/girl, $7/adult 
Note: Space is limited – maximum of 60 participants, including adults.

April 9
Voyage to Mars, Kenai 
Grades: 4-12
Time/date: April 9
–1-4:30 p.m., or
April 9-10
–1 p.m.-10 a.m.
Location: Challenger Learning Center of Alaska, Kenai
Event description: In Earth years, it is 2076. A now-routine voyage to Mars has brought the latest human crew into Martian orbit. Test your skills in the Mission Control room designed after NASA Johnson Space Center and an orbiting space station!
Cost for girls/cost for adults:
Day: $45/girl, $10/adult
Overnight: $60/girl, $25/adult
Register-by date: April 1

Registration Information

Adult and non-member information:
Non-member girls can become members by completing a Membership Form and paying the $20 annual membership fee.
Troops/groups must always have appropriate adult-to-girl ratios per Volunteer Essentials, unless otherwise noted in the event description.
Individual girl members must attend with an adult, unless otherwise noted in the event description. 
Tagalongs (children of any age who are not participating in the program) are not allowed at events, unless otherwise noted in the event description.

Financial assistance:
Financial assistance is available to girls wanting to attend an event. A completed Financial Assistance Request Form needs to be attached to the Event Registration Form.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellation requests are required in writing (e-mail preferred) to Database & Customer Service Specialist Danielle Morrow.
If a troop/group or individual cancels after the registration closing date, all money paid becomes nonrefundable unless we can fill the space(s) from the waitlist. 
If we cancel an event, all money received will be refunded. 
Waitlisted individuals will be refunded after the event occurs.
