There are many flexible ways to participate in Girl Scouts. We call these avenues “Pathways,” and they include camp, events, series, travel, troop, and virtual.
Your experience can be as individual as you are! Which road will you follow? Choose one Pathway, or choose them all. There’s more than one way to be a Girl Scout – the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
Troops meet regularly share amazing experiences. Troops are divided by grade level: Daisies (grades K-1), Brownies (grades 2-3), Juniors (grades 4-5), Cadettes (grades 6-8), Seniors (grades 9-10), and Ambassadors (grades 11-12).
Want to learn more about nature and the environment, hike, swim, or canoe? Girls can choose day camp or resident overnight camp. We hold camp in communities across Alaska.
Girls explore their interests in a way that fits their schedule. Series relate to a specific theme or purpose, such as a LEGO robotics team or the BFF (Be a Friend First) anti-bullying campaign.
Girls participate in local, regional, or council-wide one-day events focused on a particular theme, such as Women of Science & Technology, or Outdoor Survival Skills.
Girl Scout Destinations (travel)
Girls participate in leadership and cross-cultural opportunities through in-state, national, and international travel. Travel experiences engage girls in planning and money-earning projects, and provide unique opportunities for learning and service in other cultures. To find out about travel opportunities through Girl Scouts, contact Program Development Specialist for Series and Travel Hannah Moye.
The Virtual Pathway is an online Girl Scout community that provides girls the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouting, no matter where they are in the world.
