Any girl in grades K-12 can become a Girl Scout by accepting the Girl Scout Promise and Law, paying the annual membership dues, and following safety guidelines. However, no girl will be denied membership in Girl Scouts for financial reasons. To learn more, visit our financial aid page.

Girl memberships are $30 for the 2017-18 Girl Scout year. (October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018)
Adult memberships are $25 for the 2017-18 Girl Scout year. (October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018)

2017-2018 membership due increase:
  • Starting with the 2017-2018 membership year, the annual girl membership fee will increase to $30 ($25 GSUSA Membership Fee + $5 Council Service Fee) and the adult membership fee to $25. In 2016, Girl Scouts of the USA’s National Board voted to approve a $10 increase in annual membership dues, which goes into effect at the start of the 2017-18 membership year. At just over $0.83 more per month, the membership fee increase will support Girl Scouts’ vision to serve as many girls as possible through innovative programming including outdoors and STEM. Girl Scouts of Alaska will continue to offer financial assistance and serve all girls, regardless of socioeconomic background.
Register for the 2017-2018 Girl Scout Membership year! Early Bird registration is open until June 9, 2017 at 5 p.m. 

Girl memberships are $30 for the 2017-18 Girl Scout year (October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018). The $25 registration fee is transferred to Girl Scouts of USA. The Council service fee ($5) will stay within GSAK to support local programming.

Financial assistance requests for membership fees must be completed on a paper form. 

To apply for financial assistance, please complete and submit a 2016-2017 paper application or a 2017-2018 paper application (for Early Bird registration) and Girl Scouts of Alaska Confidential Financial Assistance Request one of the three ways:
