The essence of camp is the out-of-doors and focuses on creating a supportive space away from everyday life where girls can try on different leadership roles. To learn about the many GSAK camp experiences click here.
In the Event Pathway, girls participate in local, regional, or council-wide one-day events that are focused on a particular theme, such as Women of Science & Technology, Outdoor Survival Skills, or Women in the Arts. To learn more about Council Sponsored events click here.
In the Series Pathway, girls participate as a group in a series of sessions relating to a specific theme or purpose, such as:
- A four-week community service project
- A robotics team
- A six-week art exploration
- An eight-week “Journey”
- A two-month environmental education experience.
In the Travel Pathway, girls participate in leadership and cross-cultural opportunities through instate, national, and international travel. Travel experiences engage girls in planning and money-earning projects, and provide unique opportunities for learning and service in other cultures. In the Troop Pathway, girls meet regularly during the school year with the same girls and engage in volunteer-led high-quality programs that support learning, relationship building, and fun.
