  1. Why does Girl Scouts do sales?

Through product sales, girls build skills, learn about financial literacy, help their troops, lead businesses, and have fun! Product sales provide funds for Girl Scouts of Alaska programming and opportunities. All net revenue raised through the Girl Scout Product Sales — every penny after paying the vendor — stays in Alaska to support our Girl Scouts, girl programs, and camps.

  2. Who sells?

Any registered Girl Scouts of Alaska girl is eligible to participate in both or either of our product sales. Girls do not have to be part of a troop to participate.

  3. When do sales happen?

The Fall Product Sale happens from October through November, and the Cookie Sale is January through March.

  4. Can I buy products online?

Girls can send invites via email or provide an online code so that customers can purchase directly from them online.

  5. Why are the sales so short?

Product Sales is just one of the many programs GSAK Girl Scouts participate in. Other programs include STEM programs, camp, and volunteerism. GSAK strives to build girls of courage, character, and confidence through a vast amount of well-rounded girl experiences.

  6. Where do the sales proceeds go?

All net revenue raised through the Girl Scout Product Sales—every penny after paying the vendor—stays in Alaska to support our Girl Scouts, girl programs, and camps.
